Oslotre is a consultant agency within the areas of architecture, timber design and construction technology, specializing in timber constructions.

Our focus is on healthy and durable architecture in timber with the use of bioclimatic principles and natural ventilation.

Extensive use of timber provides a healthy indoor environment, leads to buildings with both good acoustics and fire resistance, and the possibility for natural ventilation by taking advantage of the wooden structures thermal and hygroscopic properties.

With several years experience within the fields of architecture-, timber engineering-, CLT production and assembly, we’re able to offer complete start-to-finish delivery of architect designed buildings as well as custom, modular and prefabricated architectural solutions in timber.

We provide through partnership a large variety of wood-based products, all of which can be mounted by our assembly team. In this way we ensure a professional, economical and predictable construction process for our clients.

Our architectural approach reflects a playful simplicity which optimizes timbers capacity for creating high quality, solid and economically viable buildings. We focus on creating environments which provide natural light, fresh air, and an overall feeling of space and nature.

We offer architectural drawings and detailing; timber engineering; building physics; sound and fire engineering; and can follow the project from the first architectural sketches through until the key is in the door.

In addition, we also offer application filing; budgeting and project management throughout the construction process; and an overall secure, streamlined and economically efficient building experience.

Our expertise within the field of timber design comes in part from previously having run a CLT production factory, as well as from 10 years of specializing in 3D modeling (BIM), static calculations, complex detailing, production drawings for CNC machining, assembly plans, sales and logistics of timber deliveries.

This adds up to the perfect link between architectural drawings and machine drawings (both CAD and CAM) and the ability to solve complex geometries while optimizing material use through modular solutions and prefabrication.

Since 2010, we have specialized in the assembly of solid wood (CLT) and glulam structures.
Our assembly team works with both large and small construction, ranging from family houses and cottages to multi-storey residential buildings, office buildings, schools and kindergartens.

We’ve completed all of the necessary safety courses and certifications and can ensure a safe, precise and efficient installation of timber buildings. Our office facilities also include a carpentry workshop for creating models and furniture production.

Oslotre offers and negotiates the sales of several brands and types of wood-based products, such as solid wood (CLT/Massivtre); laminated wood (Glulam/Limtre, LVL, Kerto); wood-fibre insulation; wooden flooring and cladding.

Through our expansive contact network within the European construction industry and research community, our work is focused on pushing the boundaries of timber technology and architecture towards a greater perception of the built environment.
